This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Consultant to join our new multidisciplinary Specialist Palliative Care Hub, serving a population of approximately 100,000 people across the Lower Mid North Coast.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of seamless, person-centred palliative and end-of-life care across acute settings, community services, and residential aged care homes. You will utilise a hybrid model of face-to-face and virtual care to ensure equitable access and exceptional patient and family outcomes.
You will work within a supportive, district-wide network of Palliative Care Staff Specialists, enjoy a diverse range of palliative care presentations and participate in an on-call roster. Play a key role in the continued growth and development of an expanding service.
Candidates Must Have
A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) or nearing completing within the next 6 months.
Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in specialist led Palliative Medicine.
About Manning Base Hospital
Manning Base Hospital serves the local communities of Taree, Forster, Tuncurry and surrounding districts which operates 160 beds providing a broad range of specialist services. Our services include general medical and surgical wards, ophthalmology, urology, paediatrics, gynaecology and obstetrics, TOES, ECT, and emergency. There is also a renal dialysis unit, and other services such as orthopaedics, vascular surgery, intensive care/coronary care, peri operative, paediatrics, maternity, oncology and a new state of the art Emergency Department.
