A unique position exists for a senior employment lawyer to join an in-house team, offering a diverse mix of matters and autonomy to work with senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will provide strategic advice on enterprise bargaining and complex employment law issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing guidance on employment law and IR issues, including unfair dismissal, HR and workplace relations legal advice, strategy, and negotiations.
* Responding to employment-related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate guidance.
* Overseeing the development, negotiation, and implementation of enterprise agreements, providing strategic direction and support.
* Guiding the interpretation and application of employment legislation, ensuring consistent and compliant advice across the team.
* Supervising the provision of advice on employment law and human resource management principles, ensuring alignment with best practice and legislative requirements.
* Coordinating the delivery of support and resources related to employment legislation, including occupational health and safety, equal opportunity, and anti-discrimination law.
* Overseeing the research, development, and quality assurance of employment-related resource materials.
* Leading the planning and delivery of professional development initiatives on employment relations and HR topics.
* Representing the organization in high-level discussions and proceedings as required.
