We are a fast-growing winery, restaurant & day spa and have experienced exponential growth as west Gippsland’s premier weddings, functions, and events destination. Our venue is licensed to accommodate 325 patrons, and we have an exquisitely designed Spanish themed functional hall overlooking the enchanting views of Gippsland mountain region, giving it a unique identity. We have our close-knit restaurant & a day spa team, with a strong focus on customer service, innovation, and delivering events with flawless execution.
About the role
Due to the reputation, we have built as a premier events destination, we are looking for a customer focused events floor manager who is responsible to manage the parties coming to inquire about their function. Events floor manager is expected to show case the venue with the intention of securing the function. Once secured, this role continuously engages with the client, and flawlessly executes the function.
Key roles & Responsibilities includes (but not limited to):
· Present Brandy Creek Estate Restaurant and SPA to corporate clients and create new business on Corporate team building evets.
· Liaising with our chefs to ensure all event details such as menus, customer specifications, staff requirements are communicated, agreed and smooth execution to schedule and all tasks are actioned and completed.
· Handling prospective clients who come to the restaurant, and ability to close the business and take a deposit.
· Work with restaurant and DAY SPA managers to develop, update and promote Brandy Creek Estate events calendar.
· Onsite management of events and working with venue managers on the night of events - liaising with clients, suppliers, and venue teams.
· Manage the weekend service of the restaurant
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
· experience in an event management role
· High degree of working autonomously, without supervision. Someone who takes pride in bringing their own vision to make the venue a success.
· Strong administration skills and experience in coordinating and overseeing all details of weddings and events.
· Attention to detail and a love for executing beautiful and high-quality events.
· Great communication skills
· Highly organised and enjoys working in a quick-paced environment with tight deadlines, multiple events, and sometimes in high-pressure situations.
· Skills in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Word and Excel
· Must work well and collaboratively with multiple teams including venues, management, clients, and vendors.
· Professional grooming and presentation
· A target-oriented individual who Happy to work after hours and on weekends until the job is done.
