We are looking for a Registered Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Nurse with extensive perioperative experience, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for education and delivering high quality patient care to join our Perioperative leadership Team.
Responsibilities
* Plan, develop and deliver nursing education courses/programs within the hospital's PACU team
* Coordinate and provide hands on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation and orientation to all staff, with a focus graduate nurses & students
* Promote a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge
* Supervise staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components
* Ensure best practice competency based programs are available and assessment of staff competencies are provided for all medical ward staff
* Work with the Perioperative leadership and hospital executive team members to prioritise departmental education requirements

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration
* Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (or similar, working towards or willing to)
* Minimum of 3 years PACU nursing experience
* Demonstrated experience in eLearning platform
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Passion for supporting more junior staff clinically in their career
