About the role
The Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) Pharmacy team are based in Mount Gambier and provide services to all acute hospitals in the LCLHN. This includes distribution, chemotherapy, a new Emergency Short Stay Unit, Mental health and opportunity to be credentialed to perform partnered pharmacist medication charting (PPMC).

In this role, you will take charge of the organisation, management, and operation of the designated pharmacy area, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-level pharmaceutical services. You will play a key role in providing independent and expert therapeutic advice, medicines information, and pharmacy services to patients, as well as collaborating with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals. This role requires the exercise of independent and autonomous judgement in providing medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals, in line with hospital and divisional policies, procedures and professional standards.

About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist with strong leadership abilities and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication, public relations skills, and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people.
* Leadership and organisational abilities - Proven experience in providing direction, driving service improvements, and managing competing priorities in a complex healthcare environment.
* Extensive pharmacy experience and technical knowledge - A strong background in hospital pharmacy practice, with a deep understanding of professional standards, codes of practice, and clinical guidelines.
* Commitment to teamwork and development - Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, while also supervising, educating, and mentoring staff.
