Role Overview:
This is a 12 month fixed term appointment as an unaccredited registrar on the Vascular Surgery Unit.
You will provide daily clinical management of patients under the care and direction of the Director of Vascular Services to ensure a high standard of patient care. You will undertake administrative duties for the Unit under the direction of the Director of Vascular Services and the Clinical Department Head to ensure that the Unit is run efficiently.
* Training in procedural work relevant to sub-specialty interest
* Participation in-patient and out-patient activity relevant to sub-specialty interest
* Participation in clinical meetings
* Supervisory support of interns and residents
The Vascular Surgery Unit manages a wide range of arterial and venous conditions, diabetic foot pathology and performs renal access and renal transplantation. We utilise contemporary open, endovascular and hybrid techniques in our operating theatre. There is a weekly vascular surgery and diabetic foot outpatient clinic.
