About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a 12 month Fixed Term opportunity for a Database Administrator to join our Function based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide reporting to the ERP Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as hybrid working.
You will be responsible for the coordination, installation and support of database technologies across all sites.
Working across all aspects of monitoring and managing databases across all sites to ensure continuous operation whilst identifying and resolving potential issues.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Manage the day to day maintenance of Database and Middleware Systems
- Assist in licence management for Database and Middleware Systems to ensure entitlements meet demand
- Maintain high quality documentation of design and associated processes
- Keep abreast of relevant ICT industry developments with an eye to continuously improve our service offerings
About YOU
- Experience in performing a DBA role administering Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.
- Knowledge in Oracle Database and middleware maintenance and design including sizing, performance tuning, resiliency, redundancy, recovery and upgrade.
- A good working knowledge of Oracle RAC.
- Experience working with Exadata and Linux.
- Ability to work autonomously and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Well-developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple changing priorities.
