This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment, managing vessel operations while engaging with stakeholders from diverse cultural and demographic backgrounds.
The position is primarily office-based, involving the management of a high volume of emails.
Strong computer skills, exceptional understanding and application of email etiquette, and excellent customer services are essential.
Additionally, the role requires travel outside the office, such as but not limited to boarding vessels, which may involve transfers by boat within the harbour and navigating steep gangways over the water.
Applicants must be comfortable with heights and willing to board vessels as an integral part of the work environment.
Responsibilities of a Ship Agency Operator in Port Hedland: Port Hedland, the world's largest bulk export port, handles a staggering volume of iron ore exports, playing a crucial role in Western Australia's economy.
As a Ship's Agent, your responsibilities include: Vessel Operations Coordination instead, you identify opportunities to improve processes and solve problems, adopting a positive approach to change is vital.
