Based in Mawson Lakes (SA) or the Hawthorn (Vic) office and reporting to the Team Lead, you will work alongside senior engineers to design and implement solutions that meet rigorous safety and engineering standards.

Responsibilities
As part of your specific responsibilities, you will:
* Plan, organise and deliver System Safety Program/s
* Gather and analyse system requirements from stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Develop system architecture, design specifications, and participate in design reviews.
* Support hardware and software integration, ensuring seamless system functionality.
* Conduct verification and validation testing, troubleshooting, and system validation.
* Prepare test plans, execute system performance evaluations, and document results.
* Support system deployment, installation, and maintenance while providing technical expertise.
* Assist in preparing training materials and user documentation.
* Work within Saab's Code of Conduct and Quality Management System at all times.
About You
Your skills and experience will include:
* Proven ability to lead small projects, preferably System Safety Programs.
* Experience in Systems Engineering, including Requirements Management, System Architecture, Integration, Verification, and Validation.
* Proficiency in systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, CATIA MBSE).
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and communication skills.
* Knowledge of complex systems (e.g., military or defence systems) is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with ASDEFCON framework is beneficial.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualification:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Equivalent relevant experience in defence or related industries is desirable.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
