Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
position at our flagship
Yarwun
manufacturing site located in
Gladstone, Queensland
. This role is a
12-month contract
.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Maintenance Execution, you will maintain and drive the maintenance plan to maximise plant efficiency and asset utilisation with your team of maintenance professionals.
We're seeking a dedicated and team-oriented technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our plant. You will work a consistent 4-day week, balancing planned maintenance with the need to support continuous operations and ensure consistent customer supply. Your technical expertise and collaborative mindset will be essential to keeping our systems running smoothly.
What you will be doing
Ensuring plant, equipment repairs, modifications and monitoring occur within health and safety guidelines;
Investigating, analysing and determining root causes of electrical plant failures;
Coordinating with Planners, Maintenance Technicians, Engineers and Operations to complete and resolve both planned and unplanned maintenance activities;
Participating in pre-shut-down work scoping and shut-down facilitation execution;
Providing direction and control of breakdown work to ensure maximum output;
Conducting maintenance tasks within a rigid planning and clearance to work system.
What you will bring
Queensland Electrical License and Instrument Trade Qualification is required;
Maintenance experience in a heavy industry/continuous manufacturing environment;
Communication and coordination skills to work with engineering and operational teams;
High risk work license for forklift and elevated work platform (nice to have);
Experience in high voltage switching and safety instrumented systems would be highly advantageous;
Sound systems and administration skills to maintain our Maintenance Management System in SAP;
Knowledge of maintenance methods e.g. preventative, predictive, condition monitoring.
