To be successful, you willhave...

* Eligible for registration in the category of RegisteredNurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and competenciesrelated to General Medical Nursing.
* Demonstrated well-developed communication and interpersonalskills.
* Demonstrated advanced skills in planning, coordination anddecision-making.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a teamenvironment and use high levels if initiative to achieverequired outcomes.
* Sound computer software skills.
* Demonstrated experience with continuous qualityimprovement, application of nursing research and theimplementation of evidence based practice.

PositionProfile:

Contributes to the attainment ofBroome Regional Health Campus goals by ensuring opportunities forthe development and assurance of clinical competence of nursingstaff of the General Medical and Surgical Ward through the deliveryof high-quality staff development programs and support of nursingstaff and students. Contributes to clinical and professionalupdates, identify educational needs, and prepare, conduct andfacilitate training to meet identified areas.

Area Profile

WACHS Kimberley is the mostnorthern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region hasapproximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 differentAboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population areAboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberleyconsists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, threeCommunity Directorates and a Corporate Office. WACHS Kimberleyprovides hospital, community health, public health, remote areahealth, community aged care, and mental health services across theregion through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginalhealth, allied health, and support staff.
