What You'll Do
As the Data Analytics Senior Lead, you are a key contributor to the design, implementation and delivery of strategic data programs that leverage insights and advanced analytics to drive improved service performance, business insights and customer experience. You translate business needs into analytical solutions and build the analytical capability necessary to achieve outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to planning and delivery activities, including identifying resource capacity and capability to drive operational performance outcomes.
Build capability and empower a team of data specialists to provide high-quality data solutions, including coaching, support and feedback.
Provide input into scoping and implementation decisions of high-stakes programs delivering end-to-end data analytics solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Engage with stakeholders across Telstra to articulate the value of data analytics and influence the business to use predictive analytics and data solutions for competitive advantage.
Translate business needs into actionable solutions with a commercial and business lens to enable decision-making and problem resolution.
Generate insights from data by connecting high-value data sets, advanced analytics and architecture for internal and external customers.
Anticipate issues and develop mitigating actions, communicating solutions to the team and stakeholders.
Build, automate and maintain complex analytics and data queries to identify opportunities and risks and maximise performance for business areas.
Support best-practice development by staying up to date with industry trends and contributing to innovative analytical solutions.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, modelling and coaching your team on Agile practices within Telstra's operating model.
Collaborate with Group Leads and Product Owners to manage and prioritise the backlog to align with OKRs.
About You
To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:
Extensive insights or related role within a large service-based organization.
Robust analytical skills with proven examples of application.
Experience in managing a small team.
Highly developed SQL and data skills.
Experience extracting, manipulating and analysing large structured and unstructured datasets.
Well-developed stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to a diverse stakeholder group.
