This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle for the right candidate – full-time or part-time options available. As an audiologist, you'll work with a wide range of techniques, including audiometric tests, to assess and diagnose client hearing loss. You'll also provide counseling, advice, and information to clients and families as part of overall treatment.
You'll be responsible for:
* Audiometric Testing: Assessing and diagnosing the extent of client hearing loss using various tests and evaluations.
* Reporting Results: Communicating assessment results in writing and making referrals to medical professionals when necessary.
* Treatment Planning: Recommending solutions to clients with hearing impairment, including amplification devices, implantable solutions, and assistive listening technologies.
* Hearing Conservation: Developing and implementing noise control strategies to prevent further hearing damage.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Qualifications: A university degree in audiology or a related field, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
* Licensure: Current membership (CCP) or eligibility for membership (CCP) of AudA or ACAud, along with a current QP number.
* Skills: Solid audiological knowledge and skills, excellent customer care and service, and the ability to learn new software.
* Attributes: Proven ability to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), well-developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
