 
        
        Pastry Chef Position
We are most innovative cake business located in Perth WA and we are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join team on a long-term basis. We prepare variety Cheesecakes, Baked Cheesecakes, Mudcakes, Cup Cakes, Tortes, Pastry Cakes, Premium/Celebration/ Wedding Cakes, Desserts, Ice Cream Cakes, Eggless Cakes, Fondant Cakes and all types of special order cakes. We also make variety of breads. We are looking for a focussed all-rounder who can put their skills and experience to use in every aspect of the business.
Duties
 * You are required to perform the following duties:
 * Measuring and mixing ingredients to make cakes/ pastries.
 * Decoration, single and double coating, and glazing of different types of cakes.
 * Decorating multiple special occasion cakes, often multi-layered & bespoke creations
 * Make multiple icings, frostings, butter creams and fillings for our products
 * Using all kinds of tools in the kitchen.
 * Taking, managing, and processing the deliveries of cakes to different destinations.
 * Ensuring the implementation of hygiene standards in the workplace according to Food
 * Safety/ HAACP/ Work Health and Safety Australia.
 * Attending to the customers and taking orders for special and customized cakes after speaking to customers in the store.
 * Doing the documentation of the store including weekly temperature sheets, WH&S sheets, and all other necessary documents.
 * Doing customer service and fulfilling the needs of customers in the absence of front desk staff.
 * Doing end of the day (EOD sales) and cash reconciliation
 * General cleaning of the store and other small jobs as per requirements.
 * Baking many types of cakes in the oven.
 * Making special cakes for events and functions on customer's demand as required by the business
 * We may also assign you other duties, where reasonable for your position, training and experience.
About You:

§ Creative, detail-focused, flair for presentation
§ Capable of working in a team with various levels of experience
Ideally you will have:
 * A Certificate III or IV in Pastry and bakery, or the equivalent
 * Demonstrated experience as a Pastry Chef and at least 1 year experience in a similar role in a fast-paced cake/ pastry production kitchen
 * Excellent organisational and time management skills
 * The ability to effectively plan and communicate daily work schedules
 * Flexibility to work a variety of shifts on a full-time basis, 38 hours per week
 * Ability to commit for long-term and available 7 days on rotating rosters
 * Full-time working right and business may be able to sponsor as business is looking for long-term commitment
