Conservation Efforts in Australia's Unique Ecosystems
We are seeking a skilled Botanist to join our Vegetation Survey Team, contributing significantly to nationwide vegetation monitoring and mapping programs.
The successful candidate will have an Honours degree in ecology, botany, or a related field, with a strong passion for pursuing a career in applied vegetation ecology and botany.
This role will involve conducting field surveys and vegetation monitoring across various ecosystems, including semi-arid woodlands and shrublands, high-rainfall remote savannas, species-rich heath and woodland complexes, and rainforests.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct field surveys and collect data on plant identifications and statistical analyses
* Work collaboratively with the Vegetation Ecologist and Senior Botanist to implement nationwide vegetation monitoring and mapping programs
Requirements:
* Honours degree in botany, ecology, or a related discipline
* Valid Australian manual driver's licence
* Ability to work in remote locations and travel as required
