Overview
Our client is a well‐established Mechanical Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high‐quality HVAC solutions across the Commercial, Healthcare, Technology and Infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured projects, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Sydney. Reporting directly to the Design Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Estimating and Project Delivery teams through the development and review of HVAC mechanical designs across a range of major projects. This position will suit a technically strong engineer who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers within the business.
Responsibilities
* Developing and reviewing HVAC mechanical designs across a range of projects
* Reviewing consultant schematics, shop drawings and equipment selections
* Supporting estimating and contracts teams with technical design input
* Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Ensuring designs comply with NCC, Australian Standards and project specifications
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team
Qualifications
We would be interested in speaking with candidates who have previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, HVAC Design Engineer or Mechanical Project Engineer within the building services industry. If you have demonstrated experience delivering HVAC design solutions across Commercial, Healthcare, Technology or Infrastructure projects, we would love to hear from you.
Compensation
Salary for this role is circa $150-170K plus super.
