This is an exciting opportunity to work as a full-time or part-time, permanent Anaesthetist at Central Queensland's largest hospital.
As a senior member of the anaesthetic team, you will be responsible for pre- and peri-operative anaesthetic care of patients and will have input into the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and in emergency situations when on duty.
The Department
The department is an accredited training facility and thus you will be required to supervise Principal House Officers, Junior House Officers, Interns, Registrars and Provisional Fellows.
The range of services delivered to Central Queenslanders continues to grow as does the Anaesthesia service. As a result, more specialists are needed to support the growing population.

The Hospital
The 305-bed hospital is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. The facility provides public health services across Central Queensland to a growing population of approximately 250,000 people and employs over 3,700 staff, treating more than 700,000 patients each year.
The hospital has been redeveloped, boasting state-of-the-art medical equipment. It features four operating theatres and two procedure rooms, supported by an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/High Dependency Unit (HDU).
Eligibility
To be eligible, candidates must hold FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics meeting ANZCA requirements, or NZ FANZCA, or IMG with training assessed by ANZCA and a substantially comparable outcome.
