Ambrose Construct Group is one of Australia's largest insurance repair specialists, with offices in every state. We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator Supervisor or a Senior Estimator Supervisor to join our rapidly expanding team in Sydney.
About the Role
Reporting to the State Construction Manager, you'll scope, estimate and supervise a wide range of property repairs. This role suits a multi‑skilled tradesperson who takes pride in "right first time" workmanship, strong communication, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate scopes of work and costings
* Supervise repairs and ensure high‑quality outcomes
* Recruit, manage and coordinate subcontractors
* Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams
* Manage cost control while upholding repair standards
* Work in line with Australian building codes and WHS requirements
* Support new starter training and promote a multi‑trade approach
* Use mobile technology for job allocation and reporting
* Ensure safe work practices, proper use of equipment and vehicle upkeep
* Provide respectful, professional customer service at all times
* Accurately record job details and feedback to management
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification (carpentry/plastering/painting skills ideal)
* Valid driver's licence
* Experience supervising repairs in occupied or vacant properties
* Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
* Confident using mobile devices and job management systems
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physically capable of performing repair tasks, working at heights and in confined spaces
* Understanding of OH&S legislation and value‑for‑money principles
* Insurance repair experience desirable but not essential
