Job Summary:
This role is ideally suited to those that are looking to expand their existing supply chain experience into an exciting and rewarding career within the Oil and Gas industry.
Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
**Inventory Reconciliation**
- Ensure that all goods are received and receipted against freight manifests on location
- Maintain both stock of all supplies and equipment on location whilst undertaking scheduled stocktakes on location
- Identify, preserve, label and store incoming goods as well as dispatch faulty equipment that requires repair
- Keep an accurate account of stock quantities on hand and location of supplies in storage containers
**Purchasing**
- Arrange purchase and supply of equipment and supplies for Rig operations in a cost-effective and timely manner
- Create PR for processing when required
- Organize delivery from suppliers to meet required time frames
- Ensure all purchasing functions are completed within company guidelines and procedures
- Reconcile invoices and generate purchase orders where required
- Ensure manifests are maintained for all incoming & outgoing goods form site.
**Maintaining Equipment Registers and Certification Data Bases**
- All registers are required to be kept up to date and accurate.
- Certain types of equipment are required to be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformance (COC). It is the responsibility of the Materials Coordinator to maintain all COC at site.
**Supplies and Documentation**
- It is the responsibility of the Material Coordinator to assist the Rig Manager in sourcing equipment for MR's
- The Purchasing & Inventory is also charged with being the keeper of Rig's documentation; therefore, it is the responsibility of this role to locate and follow up on any required documentation.
**Vendor / Supplier Management**
- Ability to build and foster strong working relationships with Vendors (suppliers)
- Negotiate and influence with Vendors as need be to ensure any stock held or on order is available to meet our operational needs
- Organize delivery from suppliers to meet required time frames
**Administration**
- Assist the Rig team with material forecasting for planned maintenance and project planning
- Assist the Rig Manager with day-to-day inventory paperwork, associated filing in an organized and process driven way
- Contribute to compilation of procedures and work instructions
Technical Competencies:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Mathematical aptitude
- Well-developed negotiation, communication, and prioritizing skills
- Advanced knowledge of oilfield operations and equipment/parts
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Basic knowledge of project management
- Supervisory Skills
- Basic warehousing experience (pick, pack, and materials handling).
- Logistics knowledge / Advanced Planning Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Good typing skills WPM
Education and Experience:
- Preferred - 5 years purchasing experience in oilfield or other heavy, industrial environment
- Minimum two years' experience supervising other staff (preferred)
- At least 5 years ERP / MRP experience in supply environment (desirable - AX Microsoft Dynamics)
- Certificate IV Purchasing (or similar)
- Formal dangerous goods training
- Current drivers and forklift license

- Avoids injury resulting from manual handling tasks, by use of risk assessment, correct mechanical handling equipment and correct manual handling techniques
