Key Responsibilities


Project Management

Oversee projects from initiation through to completion, including setting up, installing survey control networks, and managing data and computations.

Monitor project timelines and collaborate with the project coordinator to manage resources efficiently.

Handle project financials, including invoicing, budget tracking, and tender budgets.

Prepare quotes and tenders for new projects.

Manage team workloads to ensure timely project delivery.


Training & Development

Develop and execute systems and procedures for managing construction surveying projects.

Collaborate with directors and HR to recruit and onboard staff and handle large project administration and induction procedures.

Provide training to junior, intermediate, and new staff members in both field and office settings.

Create and implement individual training plans for construction surveying staff in conjunction with directors.


Human Resources

Conduct annual staff reviews and handle staff issues, including leave requests.


Business Development

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of upcoming construction projects in our regions.

Identify contractors tendering for these projects and build relationships to secure opportunities for our company.

Facilitate additional work and client relationships on project sites by liaising with clients and subcontractors.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Land Surveying or a related field preferred but not essential.

Proficiency in CAD, Trimble Business Centre, Trimble Total Station, and Trimble GNSS equipment or similar.


Preferred Skills & Competency Requirements

Demonstrated experience in medium and large-scale survey project management.

Commitment to exceptional customer service across all channels (written, phone, face‑to‑face).

Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust style based on the audience.

Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.

A collaborative team player with a willingness to support colleagues.

Effective time management and organisational skills to meet objectives within deadlines.

Proactive and self‑motivated, capable of working independently under pressure.
