The opportunity with us as Survey Services Lead
We are looking for a Survey Services Lead to join our high performing Melbourne team.
Reporting to Director of Operations until the Discipline Leader – Survey is appointed, you will be overseeing and managing all survey operations across projects.
This role combines technical surveying expertise with leadership and management responsibilities, ensuring that high-quality, accurate, and timely survey services are delivered to support construction, civil, and infrastructure works.

You will be: Leading and supervising survey teams across multiple projects; applying strong project management skills and fostering effective collaboration with project managers, surveyors, sales teams, subject matter experts, and clients to ensure survey deliverables meet project requirements.
Overseeing the use and maintenance of survey equipment and software (e.g., AutoCAD) and managing the allocation of survey resources, equipment, and personnel to meet project demands.
Monitoring and enforcing compliance with WHS (Work Health and Safety) regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Managing financial aspects of project delivery to ensure alignment within budget requirement.
Willing to commit to field work as needed, providing on-site support for field procedures.
We are looking for someone who has: University qualification or TAFE Diploma in Surveying.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional surveying experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Options for senior at 5+ years without leadership role also considered)
Strong technical expertise in surveying methodologies and software applications, and a comprehensive understanding of survey principles, methods, and industry practices.
An ability to interpret and analyse complex survey, 3D, and architectural data.
Strong knowledge of Australian cadastral standards.
A valid driver's license and White Card.
With this role, the successful candidate must successfully pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
Periodic drug testing may be required per company policy.
Desirable experience: Experience managing survey services range of projects in Australia and good understanding of terms and conditions in contracts.
Experience in the delivery of data on web-based platforms.
Strong knowledge of survey technologies (e.g., UAV/drone operations, 3D modelling, Bathy, ImageMesh, PointCloud).
Advanced skills in project management in BIM integration and 3D modelling.
