The Role
As a FIFO Chef, you’ll be at the heart of daily life on site — preparing and serving meals that fuel teams working in remote environments. This is a hands‑on role where your culinary skills, organisation, and adaptability will ensure high‑quality dining experiences for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to high standards, meeting dietary requirements and guest preferences
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen workspace in line with food safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver smooth service during busy periods
- Adapt to different kitchens and environments while consistently delivering excellent meals
About You
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate
- Experience in fast‑paced kitchens, ideally remote site catering
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and national police clearance
- Resilient and flexible to thrive in a FIFO roster environment
