Carter Newell has a rare opportunity available for an experienced Legal Secretary in our Sydney office for a 12 month fixed contract. Led by three Partners, the Sydney office works on Financial Lines and Insurance related matters for both local and international insurers across a wide range of insurance classes. These include professional indemnity, contract works/construction risk, property and industrial special risks as well as personal injury and liability matters.
In this full-time role you will provide the full suite of secretarial services, key responsibilities include:
- Conflict searches;
- Document management, including preparation of briefs and associated legal correspondence and documents;
- Matter management (opening, closing matters);
- Diary management;
- Travel arrangements;
- Monthly billing on Expert;
- Associated administrative duties.
All secretarial roles are supported by an internal WP resource as well as dedicated filing clerks.
**Essential Experience and Criteria**
- You will have 3+ years experience as a secretary.
- You will have a flexible and positive disposition with well-developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- You will also have a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365.
- Your 'can do' attitude, proactive approach and ability to prioritise under pressure will make you a valued member of the CN team.
