Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Procurement Officer to join our Finance team in an 8-month contract capacity. The Finance team is based in our Yarra Falls, Abbotsford office.
**A role you will love**
As part of the close-knit team, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the Procurement & Facilities Manager with day-to-day general procurement tasks and assisting with projects and implementing initiatives, as required.
**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:
- Manage and lead RFX from end to end
- Contract negotiations
- Maintain supplier contracts register
- Reporting
- Log and maintain all tasks in global reporting tool
- Address all audit and compliance matters
- Vendor onboarding
- Undertake due diligence on proposed new vendors. Approve and create new vendors and maintain vendor supplier database
- Purchasing queries
- Obtain quotes. Respond to various queries and action requests from key stakeholders and suppliers
- Raise POs
**What will you bring to the role?**
- General procurement experience in middle-level roles, working in large and ideally global corporations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Broad in-direct procurement category experience
- Strong understanding of best-in-class procurement compliance frameworks and practices
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding listening, oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Fast learner to adapt to multiple systems and processes
- A high level of initiative, tackling problems in a methodical and logical manner
- A passion for providing quality and efficient service
