We are seeking a skilled Lecturer to join our Digital Design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research efforts, contributing to the development of undergraduate, Masters and Graduate Diploma programs.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable advanced knowledge and extensive experience with industry-standard 3D animation and Visual Effects technologies such as Houdini, Maya, Unreal Engine, and Nuke.
Key responsibilities include developing, coordinating and delivering 3D animation and Visual Effects courses at undergraduate and/or post-graduate levels, as well as supporting student issues related to effective learning.
Applicants must have a PhD qualification and be able to demonstrate their ability to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Academic Level B ($110,868 - $131,659) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements.
The Lecturer is also expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities.

The role requires the Lecturer to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, updating colleagues and students on developments in their subject area or specialisation.
The Lecturer may be responsible for course coordination and is expected to maintain and advance their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities.

The School builds on RMIT's leading national and international reputation in design education by creating a specific focus on emerging areas such as UX and service design, design strategy, and virtual and augmented reality.
