We are seeking a Registered Nurse who can work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team with a commitment to workplace initiatives to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality care to patients.
This role is full-time with shifts Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating and supervising sick parades, including triage, assessment, outpatient and inpatient treatment, inoculations, and health promotion services
Performing triaging and assessments of eligible personnel presenting to the health facility and coordinating additional appointments/services required for timely access to healthcare
Delivering and assessing nursing interventions such as medication administration, vaccinations, intravenous therapies, physical assessments, and patient interventions
Coordinating medical appointments, including admissions to Defence inpatient facilities and civilian hospitals
Ensuring continuity of care through appropriate transfer of relevant information
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia, ensuring access to quality on-site medical care at over 45 locations.
About Oakey Health Centre
Located at the Army Aviation Centre (AAC) near Oakey, the health centre supports approximately 500 members with primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical, and mental health services.
Staff may work across Cabarlah & Oakey, with hours generally from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, depending on role requirements.

Qualifications:
Current unconditional registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Minimum of 12 months full-time post-graduate experience within the last 5 years in an acute care, primary health care, or military setting (or part-time equivalent)
Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
Additional notes:
You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance.
You do not need to be enlisted in the Defence Force; your job remains here even if personnel you care for are deployed.
