This is a Senior Administration Officer role with Queensland Government based in Brisbane, QLD, AU Queensland Government Role Seniority - senior More about the Senior Administration Officer role at Queensland Government We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and well-organised Senior Administration Officer to provide high level business and secretariat support to the Office of the Director-General. The role is pivotal in the effective functioning of the office, including high quality and confidential administrative services for the Director-General and Executive Director. As The Senior Administration Officer (AO5), You Will Provide confidential business and secretarial support to the Director-General and Executive Director to set priorities and monitor workflow in a fast-paced and sensitive working environment. Proactively manage and redirect of incoming Director-General correspondence and emails, as well as coordinating responses to requests for information and advice. Coordinate travel and accommodation requirements for the Director-General and Executive Director including arrangements associated with high level executive meetings, internal visits, and conferences. Identify, recommend, and implement financial and budget management practices and processes including monitor and reconcile travel and corporate card claims and approvals for the Director-General and Executive Director; maintain registers required by financial or legislative requirements. Co-ordinate and compile information to facilitate the analysis of human resource, budget and financial performance including the on-going monitoring, reviewing, and reporting of the human resources and financial information of the division. Ensure that systems and processes are in place to deliver corporate and business accountabilities and support the purchase and management of assets, inventory items and other goods and services. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders through liaison with appropriate areas throughout the Department, the Office of the Minister, and other agencies. Coordinate corporate performance planning and reporting activities for Office of the Director-General. Provide assistance in a range of activities with the executive support team as required i.e. diary, calendar and meeting management. Knowledge of contemporary public sector finance, administration, information management and human resource principles, practices, and associated support systems. However, previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.
