Project Engineer Role
About This Opportunity
We're seeking an accomplished engineer to join our Capital Projects Group in a Project Engineer capacity.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of Commonwealth-funded capital investment projects into the site safely and in compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
* You'll prepare specifications and contracts, assess tenders, and participate in project development, implementation, and commissioning phases.
* Under limited guidance, you'll manage multiple concurrent projects, developing engineering solutions to address process and plant requirements within a Major Hazard Facility.
* You'll facilitate compliance with HS&E policies and guidelines, coordinating contractors, suppliers, and internal resources when necessary.
* You'll collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure project success and maintain an understanding of explosive design requirements, engineering developments, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements
* A degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications in a chemical, mechanical, electrical, or production discipline.
* Previous experience in a similar engineering position supporting capital projects.
* Well-developed project management skills with a proven ability to manage and deliver technical project outcomes in a high-risk environment.
* Strong team skills and the ability to interact successfully with various stakeholder groups.
