Overview
Our Endoscopy Unit is situated within The Day Surgery Unit at St George Private Hospital. It consists of 3 procedure rooms, and provides a range of procedures, such as diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional (POEM, ERCP, EUS, ESD/EMR) endoscopic procedures as well as paediatric and special needs dental. As a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided. The Unit operates Monday to Friday from 6am – 9.30pm; you will need to be available during these hours with flexibility for 6-, 8-, or 10-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care in the Endoscopy Unit under the supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager and Shift Leaders.
* Be available for shifts within the Unit's operating hours (6am–9.30pm) with flexibility for 6, 8, or 10-hour shifts.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality endoscopic services.
Skills and Experience / Qualifications
* Must be a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
* Enrolled Nurses must be medication endorsed and IV qualified.
* Minimum two (2) years post graduate experience.
* Relevant nursing experience in Endoscopy, Theatres, Recovery and/or Anaesthetics is favourable.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
Must be a Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to be successful. Enrolled Nurses currently studying to become a Registered Nurse will not be considered at this time.
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from:
* Registered Nurse - $37.75 - $53.02 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8)
* Enrolled Nurse - $33.95 - $36.96 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW EN gr1-thereafter)
