Join Our Team as a Wellboat Manager!
Are you ready to dive into an exciting leadership role? We're on the lookout for our next Wellboat Manager to steer our operations and crew to success! You'll be working across all our marine sites in stunning Southern Tasmania, focusing on fish performance and welfare, safety, environment, community, and the effective management of production costs with a positive and proactive attitude.
What You'll Do:
* Champion Excellence: Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation to ensure the Wellboat contributes to Tassal’s continued success.
* Lead & Inspire: Develop and implement people strategies that drive a culture of excellence and accountability.
* Be the Captain: Provide strong, focused leadership with clear purpose, direction, and expected outcomes for all crew members.
* Collaborate & Innovate: Engage with other marine zone teams to understand impacts and implement winning ideas and strategies.
* Zero Harm Commitment: Continuously improve our Zero Harm platform to meet global best practices from smolt to harvest.
* Sustainable Farming: Manage and support sustainable farming practices to minimize environmental impacts in line with standards and legislation.
* Fish Transfers & Bathing: Plan, support, and initiate fish transfers and bathing operations.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to all procedures, policies, and certification expectations.
About You: To thrive in this role, you'll excel at building and managing relationships, partnering with stakeholders, growing community partnerships, and creating a safe, respected, motivated, and heard team environment.
Your Skills & Experience:
* Proven success in an operational role in Aquaculture.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent communication and writing skills.
* Proficiency in computer skills to support decision-making processes.
* Understanding of financial and functional operations with a focus on cost control.
* Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
