Disability Support Worker
Primary locations: Aldinga, Fleurieu Peninsula
Care & Venture Disability Support Services is a small, well-established disability support provider delivering high-quality, NDIS-aligned support to individuals and families across the Southern Suburbs of Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula. Our services are person-centred and delivered within a strong, professional governance framework.
We are currently seeking experienced and values-driven Disability Support Worker to join us as an Independent Contractor, primarily supporting participants in Aldinga and the Fleurieu Peninsula
during weekdays (Monday to Friday).
The Role
Supports are tailored to each participant and delivered in line with individual support plans and risk assessments. Supports may include:
* In-home support and daily living assistance
* Community access and social participation
* Support with routines, confidence-building, and independence
* Clear communication and completion of shift notes and documentation
Contractor engagement
This role is offered on an independent contractor basis. Holding an ABN, or being willing to obtain one, is required. While you operate independently, you will be supported within a clear and well-established framework to ensure quality and safety.
This includes:
* Structured rostering and coordination
* Clear support plans and participant-specific risk assessments
* Compliance and documentation guidance
* Ongoing communication and professional support
* You will be supported and well-guided, not left to manage complex situations alone
About you
You will be well suited to this role if you:
* Have experience in disability, community, or mental health support
* Value professionalism, boundaries, and respectful communication
* Are confident working independently while following structured guidance
* Communicate well with participants, families, and support networks
* Understand the importance of consistency and documentation in service delivery
* Experience supporting neurodiverse participants will be highly regarded
Requirements
* Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, or a relevant equivalent qualification
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Police Clearance
* Working With Children Check
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Driver's licence and reliable transport
* Completion of NDIS Orientation modules
