A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive the growth and development of their Pay products across Australia and New Zealand. You will own the complete product lifecycle—from concept through launch to end-of-life—whilst ensuring that all elements of the value chain operate effectively to deliver optimal commercial outcomes for the Pay division and the broader enterprise.
Key Activities
* Product Lifecycle Management: Own the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch to retirement, ensuring timely execution, continuous improvement, and alignment with strategic objectives.
* Financial & Performance Management: Understand and manage product P&L, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop initiatives that improve overall profitability and deliver against annual operating plans.
* Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all AU & NZ existing and new products are fully compliant with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to manage risk effectively across both markets.
* Market & Product Strategy: Monitor market trends, evaluate competitive context, and assess customer desirability to identify opportunities for new products, features, and enhancements that drive long-term, sustainable growth.
* Roadmap Development & Delivery: Create clear product vision and actionable roadmaps, prioritise features, coordinate strategic product and experience delivery across cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time development.
* Customer Experience & Insights: Apply CX/UX principles to manage the end-to-end customer experience from onboarding through engagement and servicing; actively monitor customer feedback, satisfaction, and advocacy to inform product and experience improvements.
* Business Development & Innovation: Identify, evaluate, and build business cases for new opportunities; work with external partners to drive innovation in product design and delivery; systematically eliminate waste and reduce costs where feasible.
* Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as Product Lead within cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment, influencing stakeholders, and guiding teams through decision-making processes to achieve product objectives.
Your Background
* 3+ years in a product and portfolio management role, preferably with strong experience in credit card products or similar financial services offerings.
* Demonstrated expertise in creating product roadmaps, prioritising features, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to organise, interpret, and act upon data to make informed decisions and optimise product features.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and foster an environment of shared ownership and accountability.
* Results-driven mindset with the ability to identify challenges, develop creative solutions, and keep product development on track despite roadblocks and constraints.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and lead teams through complex decision-making processes.
* Experience in the payments or financial services sector with exposure to regulatory compliance in Australia and/or New Zealand.
* Track record of successfully launching new products or managing product evolution in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with customer experience (CX/UX) principles and experience integrating customer insights into product strategy.
* Proactive approach to innovation, continuous improvement, and embracing change with a positive attitude in dynamic markets.
