This role is suited for an experienced Chef/Foodie who is obsessed with service and is an ideal position for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career. We are looking for an innovative and logical thinker who loves to drive teams and culture.
Responsibility spans across the home you are assigned to, with huge focus on staff engagement, resident satisfaction and just generally being awesome.
In this role, you will coordinate food and beverage services, ensuring they are delivered as planned while allocating duties to team members and addressing concerns from staff and clients. You will implement Whiddon's Food Safety Plan and monitor compliance with safe food practices. Additionally, you will lead the catering team in food safety and dining services, drive special events like theme days and cooking clubs, and support senior staff in evaluating food services by reviewing client complaints, minimizing wastage, and adjusting menus to better meet client needs.
THE ESSENTIALS
We are looking for candidates who also have:
* A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality Management, or equivalent.
* Strong People Management Skills to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
* Budget Management Expertise to ensure financial accountability and optimize resource allocation.
* Good written and verbal communication skills, and computer skills.
* A general understanding of the principles of person-centred care.
