Torwood Enterprises Pty Ltd as The Trustee for Torwood Trading Trust are a progressive 6000ha cropping property in the Great Southern region of the WA Wheatbelt that is passionate about agriculture and our rural community. We grow wheat, barley, canola, lupins, faba beans and export hay.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Crop Farm Worker to join our broadacre cropping operation on a full-time basis. This hands-on role supports all aspects of crop production, from planning and planting through to harvest, with a strong focus on precision agriculture, machinery operation, and sustainable farming practices.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with crop planting, cultivating and harvesting crops.
· Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, seeders, sprayers, trucks, and harvesters.
· Use basic precision agriculture technologies (GPS guidance, remote sensing, variable rate systems) to improve resource efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance productivity.
· Monitor crop growth, soil conditions, and weather impacts, reporting observations to farm supervisors / managers.
· Assist with pest, weed, and crop protection programs as directed.
· Collect and record field and production data.
· Support on-farm trials and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Follow WHS procedures to ensure safe operation of equipment and chemicals.
· Assist in supervising seasonal / casual workers when required.
Requirements for the candidate
· Hold the relevant qualifications (Certificate II or higher); or have at least one (1) year of relevant full-time work experience.
· Understanding of crop production and pest/weed control practices.
· Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team.
· Commitment to safety and compliance.
· Valid driver's licence.
What we are offering
This is a full-time position offering a generous salary between $90,000-$105,000 plus superannuation to the right candidate (depending on experience).
