SCi Consulting Engineers (Est 2018) are located on the South Coast of New South Wales providing Civil & Structural Consulting services throughout New South Wales. Our small team is seeking a motivated Structural & Civil Design Engineer with residential design experience to support our ongoing growth and success.
This role is ideal for an engineer with several years of local experience with an interest in residential engineering who enjoys hands-on investigation work, detailed analysis, and producing high-quality technical reports & documentation.

About the role:
* Immediate start.
* Permanent Full Time Position.
* Hybrid working conditions negotiable (after a 3 month probationary period)
* Exposure to a range of projects, including residential additions/alterations, new architecturally designed homes, concrete framed buildings, mixed use developments and industrial developments.
Key duties:
* Attend site inspections, project meetings and design reviews.
* Undertake modelling and analysis of structural and civil/stormwater designs.
* Preparation of engineering calculations, assessments and reports, design documentation and technical specifications.
* Resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Establish, maintain and foster quality relationships with existing and prospective clients.
* Coaching and development of less experienced team members.
* Contribute to business development efforts.
* Actively prepare and contribute to technical resources.
* Review and implement improvements to technical standards and procedures as required
* Quoting/fee proposal assistance and management of projects
About you
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be passionate about customer experience whilst delivering timely quality design and documentation. To excel in this position, you will have the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
* Preferred minimum of 5+ years post graduate local experience with an Australian consulting office.
* Including demonstrated experience in residential structural design (single and multi-storey dwellings, extensions, alterations)
* Experience in design of structural steel, concrete, timber, masonry, retaining wall structures, shoring structures, aluminium and pools.
* Experience in civil & stormwater design, including OSD, absorption trenches, hydraulic impact assessments, reports, site inspections, responding to RFI's, traffic maneuvering/swept path analysis, driveway cross-over designs highly advantageous.
* High attention to detail
* Highly motivated and willing to be rewarded for exceeding project delivery.
* Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
* Chartered Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility to obtain CPEng within 12 months highly regarded
* Experience with a range of analysis/drafting software packages is advantageous:
