About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Great Keppel Island Hideaway, a beautiful island resort located in Queensland. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a relaxing and comfortable stay by maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our accommodation and facilities. This full-time position will be based on Great Keppel Island travelling from the Rosslyn Bay Marina each day.
What you'll be doing
* Thoroughly clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, restocking supplies, and ensuring everything is in immaculate condition
* Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of common areas, such as the lobby, hallways, and public restrooms
* Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate team members
* Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff
* Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to any guest requests or concerns
* Work collaboratively with the wider housekeeping team to ensure the resort's high standards are upheld
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a hospitality or tourism setting
* Prior Experience is preferred for this position.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
* Strong physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the day
* Effective communication skills and a friendly, customer-service oriented approach
* Willingness to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities as needed
* Familiarity with the use of common cleaning equipment and supplies
* Must have existing Australian work rights
