About the Role: As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will deliver effective procurement services in line with Queensland Government policies. Your responsibilities include managing end-to-end procurement processes for various goods, services, and works, ensuring value for money and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Manage complex procurement projects from planning to contract management and evaluation.Develop procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.Prepare and evaluate tender documentation and contract terms.Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.Advise internal stakeholders on procurement policies and best practices.Ensure compliance with legislation and policies, including the Queensland Procurement Policy.Maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.Contribute to process and system improvements. About You: To succeed, you will have:Experience managing end-to-end procurement, preferably in government or large organisations.Knowledge of Queensland Government procurement policies or the ability to learn quickly.Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Mandatory Requirements: A relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, business, law, or related fields is highly desirable.Experience at the AO6 level or equivalent, with a focus on procurement.
