Role Overview
We are seeking a Specialist to support students requiring individualised programs.
This role involves travelling to urban and remote schools across the NT, working closely with principals, teachers, and staff to design and implement Educational Adjustment Plans and targeted interventions.
* Conduct psychometric assessments and prepare clinical reports for students and schools.
* Develop and promote inclusive practices in line with Disability Standards for Education (2005).
* Lead professional learning initiatives empowering school staff to differentiate teaching and learning.
* Provide psycho-educational guidance and support to families and school communities addressing behavioural, social, and emotional learning needs.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to apply psychological knowledge and improve student wellbeing, learning, and behaviour outcomes.
* Advise schools on recommendations for Educational Adjustment Plans to maximise student success.
We are looking for an individual who:
* Has appropriate tertiary qualifications and is eligible to register as a Psychologist in Australia.
* Has knowledge of current Australian Government policies, including the Disability Discrimination Act, and an understanding of supporting students with additional needs.
* Demonstrates awareness of the social, economic, and cultural diversity within the Northern Territory.
* Has experience administering, scoring, and interpreting screeners and diagnostic assessments to guide student support.
* Has a valid Northern Territory Driver's Licence and a current Ochre Card.
