The role of Executive Director Allied Health is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and operational management of allied health services within Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care, fosters innovation, and drives workforce development to meet the needs of the community.
About your role:
Provide professional leadership and clinical governance for allied health staff across the CHHHS and operational leadership for direct reports.
Demonstrate excellence in the areas of strategy and planning by developing comprehensive Allied Health Professional and Operational plans in collaboration with the whole of Allied Health.
Lead and Chair the Allied Health Executive Committee and the to deliver effective professional governance over clinical practice standards to ensure the quality and safety of allied health services through professional development, supervision, performance appraisal, clinical education and training and structured professional support.
Chair the Allied Health Credentialing Committee to provide oversight of the processes related to allied health credentialing for expanded scope of practice activities, in accordance with national standards and Queensland Health policies and guidelines.
Work with the other Professional leads to deliver CHHHS's evolving research and innovation agenda and its progress towards university hospital status.
