Responsibilities
- Provide high quality diagnostic and consultative services in Psychiatry within an acute inpatient mental health service based at the Professor Marie Bashir Centre.
- Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Mental Health Service and Hospital as required.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team and provide clinical leadership.
- Encourage an academic environment that supports education, research and career development.
Qualifications
- Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State).
- Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year may be considered.
