Bundaberg Sugar Ltd is seeking an experienced Group Safety Manager to lead safety strategy, systems and performance across our farming, milling, refining and engineering operations.
This is a critical leadership role focused on strengthening safety culture, ensuring consistent standards across all sites, and supporting the business in meeting its WHS obligations. The position reports to an Executive Manager and provides Group-wide guidance on all WHS and injury management matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead WHS strategy and drive continuous improvement across diverse operations.
* Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, standards and compliance requirements.
* Manage WorkCover claims, injury management and suitable duties programs.
* Oversee safety systems, reporting and contractor approvals.
* Manage Drug and Alcohol testing and Fit for Work compliance.
* Coordinate safety training, competency assessments and documentation.
* Prepare statutory reports and support audits, inspections and investigations.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety.
* Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry or sugar milling (desirable).
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
* Highly organised, proactive and technically competent.
* Able to lead and influence safe behaviours across varied environments.
