Job Title: Expert Clinical Nurse Consultant in Domestic Violence Care
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Domestic and Family Violence, you will be responsible for providing leadership in patient-centered care and consultancy for individuals experiencing domestic and family violence.
On a typical day, you will be involved in providing forensic responses to women who report domestic violence, linking with emergency departments, Aboriginal Medical Centres and Domestic Violence centers to offer support to patients, making appointments within the community health setting for women seeking forensic responses at a later date, and so on.
A new model of care is being developed within the DFV space, offering a unique opportunity to broaden your skill sets and achieve better healthcare outcomes for women in the community.
You will be working collaboratively with a Social Worker to support women when they present, as well as receiving support from the District Domestic & Family Violence Project Manager, the Clinical Coordinator, and the broader Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) team. Clear medical support is also available.
To excel in this role, you will need to have experience with quality projects and developing models of care, enjoy solving problems in a collaborative setting, and be willing to work within an on-call roster.
Your ability to think critically and make sound decisions will be essential in delivering safe, effective, and woman-centered care.
