Your Role as a Pathology Courier You will be responsible for collecting and transporting pathology samples, specimens, blood/blood products, X-rays, vaccines, and clinical waste across various medical and veterinary facilities to laboratories. Managing over 30 stops per day, you play a crucial role in delivering quality health services to the community. Key Responsibilities Pick-up and delivery of pathology samples, specimens, blood/blood products, X-rays, vaccines, and clinical waste. Liaising with referring medical practitioners and the Medical Liaison Officer regarding store orders. Preparing and delivering reports and managing stock in the main laboratory. Maintaining patient confidentiality and data integrity. Following procedures for specimen coding and documentation. Adhering to policies, safety procedures, and quality assurance standards. About You Valid open Australian driver’s license with an excellent driving record. Ability to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent time management, handling up to 30 stops daily. Physical ability to lift equipment weighing up to 15kg. Ability to follow instructions and use initiative. Previous courier experience is highly advantageous. Hold a Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain one.
