Pathology Collector
Job Description
Our organisation is seeking a skilled Pathology Collector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and coordinating specimen samples from patients. Your primary focus will be delivering excellent customer service and quality healthcare to patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Collecting blood and non-blood samples with care and attention.
* Keeping accurate records of patient information and sample details.
* Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing.
* Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or Certificate III in Pathology Collection, or a healthcare background.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with high empathy.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently at times, working alone in a solo clinic setting.
- Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics as needed.
- Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.
- Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement of this role, other vaccinations may be required based on location and setting.
