Position: Entry Level Accountant

BAA Finance is seeking an Entry Level Accountant to be part of our growing Financial Accounting team. This is a Full Time; Permanent role based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager.

The Financial Accounting team at BAA manages our P&L and Balance Sheet including reconciliations, SAP GL, cash, offshore AP & AR teams, Monthly / Quarterly / Annual and Statutory Reporting. In addition, we liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally and collaborate with other Boeing teams to meet FBT, GST and Corporate Tax requirements.

Position Responsibilities

1. Ensure Accounts Payable processes work smoothly
2. Support internal BAA customers with AP matters
3. Prepare Monthly & Quarterly Reports & Schedules
4. Undertake GL reconciliations
5. Complete SOX requirements
6. Support reporting requirements for FBT, Tax and month-end
7. Problem solving and resolution of day‐to‐day accounting issues
8. Review Financial compliance and adherence to GAAP and Boeing Company Policies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)

9. Comfortable in working and interacting in a team environment, willingness to learn & explore and put your problem‐solving skills to the test in a hands‐on environment
10. Be confident about what you can bring to the team
11. Great verbal and written communication skills
12. 0 – 2 years experience within a similar role
13. Applicants must have unrestricted full‐time working rights in Australia

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred skills / Experience)

14. Degree qualified or to be completed by the end of 2026 (job commencement date is mid 2026 with business support to take required time off for study/exams)
15. Be committed to undertaking CA / CPA

Additional Information

This is a non-Enterprise Agreement IJC 9AHCI1 position and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre‐employment checks and a 6 month probationary period.
