About the Role
As a Risk Manager Acquisitions Valuations in our Retail Risk team, you will be responsible for credit originations acquisition policy and strategies to maximize operational efficiencies while optimizing bad debt charge and ROE across commercial portfolios. This involves acquisition quality measurement, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms used by Risk to support the business in understanding segmented dynamics of business written and performance via vintage, including insights into actions.

What Will Your Day Look Like?
This role is accountable for:
1. Supporting the Valuations Lead in translating the Commercial strategy into desired initiatives.
2. Developing and implementing Valuations Acquisition policy and strategies aimed at balancing customer experience, credit automation/process simplification, revenue growth, and loss management.
3. Contributing to performance discussions with an operational and strategic focus.
4. Delivering work plans aligned with operational strategies to benefit the organization.
5. Assisting with prioritization of tasks and projects to optimize resource use and business benefits.
6. Promoting opportunities in strategy development for valuations simplification and operational efficiency through automation and decision strategies.
7. Supporting projects to rationalize and improve valuation policy deployment and front-end strategies.
8. Leading a team of analysts, providing technical advice, training, and coaching.
9. Building rapport with internal and external stakeholders for effective collaboration.
10. Supporting workload management and quality of deliverables.
11. Supporting career development, reward, and recognition assessments, and performance management.
12. Engaging with regulatory bodies, providing insights on key topics and commitments.
13. Identifying trends, risks, issues, and opportunities, and escalating as necessary.
What Will You Bring?
To succeed, you will ideally have:
* Strong analytical, numerical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable strategies.
* Experience with data analytics/science and decision systems tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, etc.).
* Proven ability to design and enhance reporting sources.
* Extensive risk management experience across portfolios and functions.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing complex issues clearly with diverse stakeholders.
* People and project management skills, with the ability to motivate analysts.
* Financial skills in portfolio management.
* Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt agilely to changing priorities.
