Hunter Executive is pleased to be partnering with a successful manufacturing company to find a National Operations Manager to develop and implement organisational strategies, policies, and practices.
With 9 direct reports, you will also be responsible for the Operations, Production, Logistics and Warehousing, Procurement, WHS and QA functions across four sites and will take a lead role in providing financial and operational support for 90+ staff.
**The Person**
To be successful you will have recent experience in an Operational Management role with substantial manufacturing leadership experience and the ability develop people to their full potential.
You will also have demonstrated financial governance experience, sound analytical skills and be willing to be hands on with the team to deliver results.
**The 'Ideal' person will have**:
- Previous operations management experience within logistics, warehousing & manufacturing
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing diverse team
- The ability to implement standard systems of work
- Previous multisite manufacturing experience
- Ability to manage, Influence and build rapport with stakeholders from a variety of functions to achieve operational outcomes
- Practical experience and the willingness to be hands on as required
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Experience working for a business who had significant revenue growth
- High integrity, an enthusiastic and positive attitude, and a desire to help grow the business
**The role**:
- Conduct continual analysis and evaluation of strategic information (revenues, installation margins, freight cost, manufacturing operations etc.)
- Manage day-to-day operations in purchasing, product and vendor management, receiving, warehousing, stock and picking/shipping operations as well as carrier management
- Oversee financial management, planning, systems and controls
- Develop and control individual program budgets
- Liaise with all Factory and Admin managers to create smooth workflow and working environment
- Implement a LEAN management system for all areas with a continuous improvements program
- Improving and managing Project management and quoting system for Industrial section
- Producing and collating KPI's for GM and Board
- Budget forecasting and O/Head reduction
- Facilitation of document production, activity planning and ERP execution
- Implementation of the company's Site Safety Management Plan
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with all OHS requirements
- Improve current production and despatch schedules by improving systems
