The Role As a Senior Accountant, you'll enjoy a varied role with exposure to both compliance and advisory work, servicing a mix of individuals, SMEs, family-run businesses, and high-net-worth clients. You'll be supported by a dynamic, close-knit team and encouraged to work autonomously, take part in client meetings, and grow into a leadership role.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
* Preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
* Managing FBT returns, activity statements, and liaising with the ATO as needed
* Using Xero/XPM for compliance and reporting
* Collaborating closely with the Principal on advisory and business planning work
* Running client meetings independently (when confident and capable)
* Contributing to a positive team culture through collaboration and knowledge-sharing
About You
* 4+ years' experience in public practice
* CA/CPA qualified or working towards
* Confident communicator who enjoys client interaction
* Strong experience with Xero (XPM experience a bonus)
* Excellent attention to detail and a process-driven mindset
* A genuine interest in developing your career and working toward Practice Manager/Partner level
* Portuguese language skills highly regarded due to client base
* A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for helping others
