About the role
The role of the Joiner is to successfully, follow company direction to deliver work orders in a timely and safe manner and completed efficiently and effectively for the clients/ customers. You will enjoy carrying out work orders for commercial and residential projects. Enjoy working with state of the art production facilities and cutting edge computer design software to enable the creation of one off or multiple joinery items quickly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively manage completion of tasks, projects within specified timelines
* Review and assess your work to ensure the highest of quality, deliver defect free work orders
* Participate in toolbox meetings
* Coach and mentor apprentices and share your knowledge and experience.
* Prioritise work volumes, achieve contractual agreements, advise Production Manager in the event of potential risk of not meeting requirements
* Conformance to customer/client specifications, company standards and regulation requirements.
* Ensure safety and environmental requirements are met
Skills & experience
* Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
* Experience in the production and manufacturing methodologies of joinery
* Demonstrated skills in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
* Strong skills in numeracy and literacy along with basic computer skills
* Proven ability to follow through/delivery of objectives
* Self-motivated, good communication skills
* Attention to detail and excellent problem solving abilities and time management
* Safe Work NSW General Construction Induction/White Card
* Current NSW Drivers Licence, Forklift Licence and First aid certificate are preferred
