Finance & Payroll Support Officer Construction | Melbourne
A growing construction business delivering end-to-end solutions across commercial and civil projects is seeking a Finance & Payroll Support Officer to join their Melbourne team. Working on projects across Melbourne and Adelaide, this business supports major builders and developers and offers long‐term stability with genuine opportunity for growth. The role, reporting to the CFO, will support payroll (primary focus), finance, and general administration. As the business continues to expand, there is scope for the role to grow into a broader finance or commercial support position.
Key Responsibilities
* Process weekly/fortnightly payroll for employees and subcontractors
* Manage timesheets, allowances, and construction award compliance
* PAYG, superannuation, and statutory reporting
* Assist with accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations
* Invoice processing and financial administration
* General office administration and compliance support
About You
* Experience in payroll, finance support, or administration
* Construction or project‐based industry exposure (advantageous)
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Experience with Xero, MYOB, or similar systems
* Proactive, reliable, and keen to grow
